Club Gatherings

Interesting programs on hunting, fishing, environment, ecology and related topics are open to the public on the last Thursday evening of every month. The meetings begin at 7:00 pm in the clubhouse. The March and October meeting pot-luck dinner meetings are at 6:00.

The October meeting on Friday, October 29 will start with a pot luck dinner at 6:00. If you can, bring a main dish, dessert or a salad. However if you cannot bring a dish, come anyway and you will be fed well. $5 per adult and kids 8 and under free. Questions? Call Winnie Oustecky at 603-536-4129.

Following the meal we will meet upstairs in the new assembly hall for a very special program.

The speaker will be John Harrigan, much sought-after speaker on all things outdoors.

He is a former publisher, a reporter, a storyteller, a lover of the outdoors and a loyal fan of New Hampshire’s North Country, and throughout his career John Harrigan's been able to meld all those facets of his life together. His column “Woods, Water and Wildlife” has been a fixture in the Union Leader for the last 32 years celebrating the beauty of New Hampshire’s outdoors; while his other column “North Country Notebook” is now run in twelve weekly newspapers (including our local Plymouth Record Enterprise). He’s the former owner and publisher of three newspapers in Northern New Hampshire and in 1997, was declared First Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for getting his paper out the night of the Colebrook shootings, in which his editor, his longtime companion and two police friends were killed. All throughout his career Harrigan has celebrated his North Country while seeing it change before his eyes. Take a look at how the North Country has changed and how it's stayed the same over the last quarter century with Colebrook reporter and raconteur John Harrigan.
